Applications for the Summer 2019 Critical Language Scholarship has just opened.  The deadline for students to apply is November 27th.

The Critical Language Scholarship is an intensive, overseas language and cultural immersion program.  During the summer, students spend eight to ten weeks abroad studying one of 15 critical languages including:

  • Arabic
  • Azerbaijani
  • Bangla
  • Chinese
  • Hindi
  • Indonesian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Persian
  • Portuguese (new for 2019!)
  • Punjabi
  • Russian
  • Swahili
  • Turkish
  • Urdu

This past summer, a SOE student, Ramsey Cardwell (ERM) was awarded the scholarship and studied Chinese in Dalian, China.  We would love to have more winners in 2019!

An event has been created on Spartan Connect for students who would like to attend this information session on October 25th
