The Piedmont Teacher Residency Partnership (PTRP) program is an innovative, effective residency that prepares highly-qualified, diverse teachers for success in Rockingham and Surry County Schools.

The residency program supports cohorts of students who take part in a year-long (max 18 months) clinical experience in local high-needs public schools. In exchange for the financial support during the residency year, residents agree to teach for at least three years in a high need school in Rockingham County or Surry County following graduation.
