Project EnACTeD at UNC Greensboro and Allen Jay Elementary School, its partner school in Guilford County, have been featured in the Guide to Exemplary Programs & Practices in U.S. Language Education developed by America’s Languages’ Working Group. The Guide recognizes exemplary programs across languages and educational levels.

Project EnACTeD is recognized for its community-engaged partnerships that enhance educator preparation for English learners and dual language learners. Allen Jay Elementary School is the first elementary school across the nation that offers Urdu Dual Language/Immersion program. The program has been highlighted by the Council of Great City Schools, Learning Forward, and the Guilford Educational Alliance.
