In the School of Education (SOE) at UNC Greensboro, we are dedicated to global engagement. Our dedication to global engagement is supported by the SOE Global initiative, which is a network of resources and services specifically designed to help promote and facilitate global engagement in the SOE.
Activities and functions of SOE Global are overseen by the SOE International Committee.
International Faculty and Staff Network
The International Faculty and Staff Network works in collaboration with the University Teaching and Learning Commons and International Programs Center to create resources and provide networking opportunities for international staff and faculty while also supporting internationalization efforts across campus.
Explore a transformative learning experience that leads to innovation and discovery through engagement with communities that promote equity and diversity.
Develop a global perspective by traveling abroad. Visit classrooms, meet current and pre-service teachers, and experience the world of education.
Smiley Global Education Ambassador
The Smiley Award recognizes excellence among SOE students who actively participate in internationalization efforts.
SOE Global Pathway
Pathway offers academic English support for conditionally admitted graduate students at UNC Greensboro. The program includes courses on reading, writing, speaking and listening, and assists students’ academic and cultural transition. Students also participate in seminar classes, attend personalized advising sessions, and engage in conversation partner discussions with other graduate students on campus.
