Dr. Debra Holzberg will serve on the Council for Exceptional Children’s (CEC) Executive Board as Publications and Communications Chair for the Division of Learning Disabilities (DLD). Holzberg and Dr. Julie Irene Bost will also be presenting at the 2023 CEC Convention and Expo in March. Both Holzberg and Bost are Clinical Assistant Professors in the UNC Greensboro School of Education’s Department of Specialized Education Services.
Holzberg and Bost will present a session entitled “Incorporating Transition Goals into the General Education Classroom” at the conference in Louisville, Kentucky. This opportunity will put the pair in front of the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the success of children and youth with disabilities.
In her role as chair, Holzberg will be responsible for coordinating the publication of Learning Disabilities Research and Practice (the DLD’s professional journal), the Division newsletters, and providing oversight for other publications and communications for the Division.
