Clinic Staff
Clinic operations are overseen by the Clinic Director, a full-time faculty member from the UNC Greensboro Department of Counseling and Educational Development (CED). Each academic year select students are chosen to staff the Vacc Clinic through graduate assistantship and internship appointments.
Director

Dr. Alex Cammarano brings a diverse and extensive background to her work, combining clinical mental health and school counseling experience with a certification in grief, loss, and trauma. Her expertise spans critical areas such as crisis management, suicide prevention, life transitions, child and adolescent counseling, and fostering school-community partnerships. Deeply committed to a holistic approach, Dr. Cammarano integrates theory with multicultural techniques to fully appreciate her clients’ unique lived experiences. She believes in a collaborative counseling relationship where both client and counselor engage actively in the process of growth and transformation. In addition to her role as Clinic Director, Dr. Cammarano is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Development. She is dedicated to advancing the field through her roles in education, supervision, consultation, and mentorship, actively supporting students, emerging counselors, and seasoned professionals alike.

Graduate Assistantships
Typically, master’s-level students serve as Clinic Resource Assistants, and are responsible for assisting with daily clinic operations. At the doctoral level, graduate assistants are responsible for supervision, crisis assistance, and outreach services.
