Counseling Master’s Programs
Become a Confident, Competent Counselor at UNC Greensboro, the Nation’s 4th Ranked Counseling Program
Our M.S. in Counseling program equips students with evidence-based, ethical, and culturally responsive skills to serve diverse clients. Through hands-on training in areas like motivational interviewing, trauma response, and substance use counseling, students gain real-world experience in schools, hospitals, community agencies, and more. Our students work with children, couples and families, immigrants and refugees, trauma survivors, individuals with addictions, and those managing chronic illness.
From day one, students receive intentional instruction and supportive, in-depth clinical supervision to build both skill and confidence. By graduation, they are prepared to serve, advocate, and lead with impact. Students engage in clinical practicum and internships, as well as course-based practices that allow for immediate application of classroom learning. Many of these experiences take place in our on-campus Nicholas A. Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic.
Graduate ready to lead, advocate, and make a lasting impact.
