Annual Southeastern Regional Symposium (SERS) Takes Place on December 8 for College Educators of Teachers of the Deaf and ASL Interpreters

The Southeastern Regional Symposium (SERS) is an annual, one day gathering of scholars who focus on educating future teachers of the deaf, and educational American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters. The purpose of the Southeastern Regional Symposium is to provide a small, low-stakes, low-cost meeting of the minds and to give opportunities for scholars who live in select Southeastern states to present not only their research, but also andragogical practices that they have found effective in training future teachers of the deaf, or educational ASL interpreters.

This year’s SERS event takes place on December 8, 2018.

9:00 – 10:00: The praxis of preparing Deaf scholars for the praxis exam: Dave Smith, Cheryl Shahan, Shana Ward
