douglas price ses alumCongratulations to Douglas Price, Department of Specialized Education Services (SES) alum, for being named one of the 2019 North Carolina Regional Teachers of the Year!

Douglas completed his undergraduate degree from SES with a major in Education of the Deaf and a concentration in Auditory/Oral/B-K Licensure in May 2008. He is a teacher at Voyager Academy in Durham, and is working on his EdD in Educational Leadership at UNCG.

Since Douglas was named as one of the Regional Teachers of the year, his name is in the running for the 2019 Burroughs Wellcome Fund North Carolina State Teacher of the Year which will be announced on April 12th.
