An accomplished TESOL educator who boasts over 25 years of experience around the world, Analia Wells was selected by the U.S. Department of State to participate in a four-week English Language Specialist project that focuses on Teacher Training for SEL in Albania.
Wells is employed by Guilford County Schools as dual language curriculum facilitator and instructional coach. She has also been involved as a PLC facilitator as part of UNC Greensboro’s Project IGNITE in 2022-23. Wells continues to support multilingual learner education by serving on the Project IGNITE Advisory Board.
Wells will work with the Quality Assurance Agency for Pre-University Education of the Ministry of Education for in-service teacher training, developing modules to train teachers on Social Emotional Learning.
The English Language Specialist Program is the premier opportunity for leaders in the field of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) to enact meaningful and sustainable changes in the way that English is taught abroad. Chosen English Language Specialists will work directly with local teacher trainers, educational leaders, and ministry of education officials to exchange knowledge, build capacity, and establish partnerships benefiting participants, institutions, and communities in the United States and in more than 80 countries.
