Message from the Dean
Welcome to the School of Education at UNC Greensboro!

Our School of Education (SOE) has a proud history as one of the first teacher preparation programs in the state of North Carolina. Today, the SOE prepares not only teachers, but principals, librarians, information scientists, researchers, ASL interpreters, counselors, educational administrators, evaluators, and instructional designers through its wide variety of programs that are highly ranked both nationally and in the state.
Our faculty and staff are dedicated to the success of our students. The SOE offers both financial and academic support to those enrolled in our programs. We annually award over $1 million in scholarships and graduate assistantships. Our students have access to our Teaching Resources Center and SELF Design Studio to enhance their educational experiences as well as our Academic Support Hub that offers free tutoring services and test preparation for those who need the support.
Here, we are committed to creating life-changing opportunities through education by providing transformative learning, leading innovation and discovery, engaging communities, and promoting equal opportunity for students of all backgrounds.
In the SOE, a student’s success is our top priority. Students will benefit from world-class faculty members who are recognized both nationally and internationally in their fields, as well as from high-impact engaged learning like internships, practicums, and research – each uniquely tailored to help them accelerate a vibrant and rewarding career.
We appreciate your interest in the School of Education at UNCG and invite you to explore our website to see the opportunities that await you here. Should you have any questions, we hope that you will contact us to learn more.
