IPiE Graduate Student tutor works with students at the Black Child Development Institute Greensboro.

IPiE is proud to share a portion of a newsletter from our partner, Black Child Development Institute – Greensboro, featuring two of our student tutors supporting the Institute’s afterschool programs.

G. Dupree-Isaac graduate student

BCDI-G is proud of our recent partnership with the Institute for Partnerships in Education (IPiE) within the School of Education at University of North Carolina. Through this partnership, BCDI-G has been matched with two tutors, Mr. Sherwin and Mr. Grady who have been trained in High Impact Tutoring by the IPiE team and then bring that knowledge to our community based sites.

This extra layer of academic support is an investment in our students’ potential, ensuring that each child receives the attention they need to thrive. For us, tutoring isn’t just an add-on; it’s essential to closing opportunity gaps and empowering our young learners to believe in their own success.

We are proud to partner with IPiE as we work together for our shared vision of education as a catalyst for change. Together with Mr. Sherwin, Mr. Grady, and the entire IPiE team, we are planting seeds of growth and achievement that will last for years to come. Thank you!
