Ashley Smith CED Alum 2021

After four years working as an elementary school counselor, Ashley Smith returned to UNCG to pursue a PhD so she could teach the next generation of counselors. She persevered and found grace during her time as a Spartan. 

For soon-to-be graduate Ashley Smith, the “G” in “UNCG” stands for grace. That’s the word she uses to describe her journey toward earning the doctoral degree in counseling and counseling education she’ll receive in a few days. And it’s the mantra she hopes to lean on as she pursues her career reaching children in need.
