The School of Education congratulates UNCG’s Library and Information Studies Student Association as the winner of the 2018 ALA Student Chapter of the Year Award!

The New Members Round Table (NRMT) of the American Library Association Student Chapter of the Year Award Committee (SCOTYA) was impressed with the chapter’s outreach to distance education students, in which they hosted meet-ups in several locations for distance students and utilized a variety of tools to communicate with members. This is the first time UNCG’s Library and Information Studies Student Association has received the award.
