Spark your creative imagination by using technology to make, repair, and customize your hands-on learning experience. The SELF Design Studio offers a wide array of services chunked into three categories:
- Consultation: A 30-minute appointment to discuss ideas for a project with a member of the SELF Design Studio. Choose your preferred date and time and the Maker in Residence, Graduate Assistant, or Staff member you would like to work with. Keep in mind that this is not a session for creating an actual project, that would need to be scheduled separate.
- Independent Work Session: This initial 1-hour appointment (but you can stay as long as needed as long as the space is available) to begin or continue working on a project. During this appointment you will be paired with a Maker in Residence, Graduate Assistant, or Staff member that will be able to further assist you.
- Specific tools (laser, 3D printer, Circut, etc): Take a look at our extensive list of tools and materials that are available to you in the SELF Design Studio and reserve time to use a specific tool during your appointment.
Use of materials and resources in the SELF Design Studio is reserved for students, faculty, and staff of the School of Education (unless otherwise stated during a specific event or workshop). Please review our SDS Material Policies and Prices before reserving your appointment.
