Recognizing New Members of the John H. Cook Society – June 2019

We are honored to thank the following members of the John H. Cook Society, all of whom are making an impact on the lives of others through their gifts to department funds or scholarships:

  • Kathy Glenn and Joanne Reese Williams, for their gifts to the CED Alumni Endowment, to be used for the greatest needs of students and faculty members in that department
  • Grace and A.B. Henley, for their support of non-traditional students preparing to become teachers through their gift to the Haggai Academy
  • Carolyn White Judd, for her support of scholarship needs for all students in the SOE through her gift to the School of Education Scholarship Fund
  • The Pilot Club of Greensboro, for its continued support of the Pilot Club of Greensboro Scholarship Fund for Specialized Education Students
  • Pam and Robert Powell and Linda and Billy Wooten, for their continued support of the School of Education Enrichment Fund, to be used for the greatest needs of the SOE
  • Kathelene Smith, for her support of the LIS Enrichment Fund, meeting the greatest needs of the students and faculty in that department
  • Wanda and Oliver Sweeney, for their gift in support of the Don & Mary Olson Scholarship in Reading Education
  • Sara and Scott Young, for their support of Impact through Innovation, which promotes creating inventive solutions to the practical challenges faced by educational institutions, the individuals they serve, and the organizations with which they partner
