SOE Global Resources
UNCG offers support for all students to assist them in their academic pursuit. In addition, the School of Education (SOE) has many resources and services that are available specifically for SOE faculty, staff, and students.
The Office of Student Success (OSS) assists students with making education plans that are consistent with their goals, abilities, and interests, offers recommendations and strategies for academic success, and refers students to appropriate campus offices and resources. They provide advising services, online modules, and workshops, to assist teacher candidates in understanding the various academic options and resources available within the School of Education and the University campus.
The Teaching Resource Center (TRC) provides instructional materials, equipment, and services that support the students, faculty, and staff of the UNCG School of Education as well as teachers in the Triad community. The TRC serves as a model school library media center, offering a large collection of Pre-K-12 picture books, young adult fiction, nonfiction books, audiobooks, board books, big books, kits, manipulatives and DVD’s, and it also provides equipment for use and check-out to SOE members.
The SOE Instructional Technology Support office is actively involved with promoting technical competence, awareness, and skill-building throughout the SOE educational programs; emphasizing the benefits that technology can bring to the classrooms by promoting active, participatory learning. Their mission is to assist SOE faculty and staff to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning.
The Office of Assessment, Evaluation and Research Services (OAERS) delivers valuable research and evaluation support to organizations while providing a rich training ground for the next generation of leaders in the fields of assessment, program evaluation, and data analysis. OAERS provides students extensive hands-on applied experiences to support their training and professional growth.
The International Programs Center can help students negotiate the exciting world of Study Abroad and Exchanges. They help international students discover UNCG and all it has to offer, and serve Visiting Scholars and Faculty to enhance the academic experiences of students and faculty alike. As the central point of contact for all the University’s international activities, they are here to help you explore the world.
