SUMMARY:Bridging Scholarship and Impact: Research Partnerships and Opportunities Through the NC Collaboratory (IPiE Speaker Series)
DESCRIPTION:Established by the NC General Assembly in 2016\, the NC Collaboratory serves as a unique engine for translating academic research into practical insights that inform policy and practice across the state. This talk will introduce the mission\, structure\, and strategic priorities of the NC Collaboratory’s Office of Learning Research\, including its role in fostering collaborative research that addresses pressing K–12 education challenges. We will explore how NC-based faculty can engage with the Collaboratory through funded studies\, partnership networks\, and stakeholder-aligned research agendas that bridge university expertise with state and local educational policy needs. Participants will gain insights into current and emerging opportunities to contribute to evidence-based solutions that bolster learning outcomes statewide\, strengthen relationships across sectors\, and amplify the impact of their scholarship beyond the academy.
