Biography

After years as a professional musician and music teacher, Sonia Archer-Capuzzo took a new career path in library and information studies. She teaches for UNCG, the State Library of North Carolina, ALA Editions, and several library associations. She has cataloged for UNCG, Catawba County Public Libraries, and Backstage Library Works. Archer-Capuzzo studies and writes about music librarianship, online education, cataloging, and other music- and library-related topics, and is working long-term on a comprehensive biography of cellist Lev Aronson. She teaches courses on information organization and access, cataloging and classification, and music librarianship.
