Counseling and Educational Development (CED)

The Department of Counseling and Educational Development requires both master’s and doctoral students to engage in clinical internship(s). Internship is an opportunity for students to perform all the activities that a professional counselor, in the designated setting, would be expected to fulfill. This includes, but is not limited to engaging in a therapeutic relationship with clients and/or students, attending team or consultation meetings, attending to paperwork, providing outreach or classroom guidance, and more. Each internship is one semester and must pertain to the student’s degree and track specific requirements. More information can be found on internships (both clinical and supervision) and practica, including handbooks, forms, and application process on the following website: ¬†
