For all of our SOE faculty members – if you’re interested in reading graduate names at the May 9 SOE Commencement ceremony as students walk across the stage, please email Rachel Williams (r_willi8@uncg.edu) no later than Noon on Friday, March 28. We will select the name readers at random using a lottery, and readers will be notified on the 28th.

Members of the OSS staff took advantage of the QEP Global Engagement globe housed in the SOEB lobby last week – they went fishing for World Peace, Love and Happiness!!!

 

It’s a Girl!

Ava “Morgan” Smith made her arrival on Friday night, Feb. 28th at 7:15 pm.  She weighed 8lbs and was 20.5 inches long.  It’s been a crazy few days but Annie and Morgan are home now and are doing well. Congratulations, Annie!

School of Education 2014-2015 Scholarship Application Now Available online

Faculty and Staff, please let your students know they can apply for a School of Education scholarship from February 1, 2014 to April 1, 2014.

An email will also go out to all current education students inviting them to apply.

All scholarship recipients will be notified by email by August 1st.

Scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need, and other specific criteria for each scholarship. Priority is given to students with a 3.0 GPA and who have already been admitted or will have applications pending admission to the School of Education.

SOE W-2 Pickup Information

W-2s for SOE faculty and staff are available for pickup until Monday, January 27, 2014.  W-2s that are not picked up by this date must be returned to the payroll office for U.S. postal mail delivery.

SOE Faculty pickup: Please check in with your Departmental Admins to pick up your W-2 (ELC faculty, please see Sue Miller in room #328 SOEB).

SOE Staff pickup: If you would like to pick up your W-2 please stop by Sue Miller’s office (room #328 SOEB).
