Online Webinar: Scholarly Writing and Publishing for LIS Students

September 12, 2013

(from the LIS Department)

Dear friends,

The Journal of Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery & Electronic Reserve is planning the launch of a column that will gather articles from LIS students on their experiences and knowledge of library services including interlibrary loan, document delivery, reserves, digitization, and electronic accessibility.  To kick off this column, we’d like to share what we know of scholarly publishing and are offering an online webinar:  Scholarly Writing & Publishing for LIS Students on September 12, 2013 at 1-2:30 p.m. EST.  Webinar registration at this address:  http://tinyurl.com/writing-publishingwebinar.  We hope that this will be an opportunity for LIS students to gain experience and confidence with the publishing process.

We’d like to get your feedback and partnership, as an LIS student organization, in making this column come to life.  Please help us spread the word about the webinar and publishing opportunity.

Sincerely,

LeEtta Schmidt, MLS
